The three day residential programme, organised in April/May and November, employs a variety of approaches which include: talks, practical sessions, group work and a choice of workshops covering specific areas of relevance. It is designed for lay and ordained ministers across the denominations who may be entering a rural appointment for the first time, or who may already be in rural ministry but feel the need for a ‘refresher’. It attracts those who are keen to examine the challenges and opportunities that this ministry environment offers.
Each course can accommodate up to 20 participants and early booking is advised because of heavy demand.
Rural Ministry Course dates:
13 - 15 April 2010
11-13 May 2011 (N.B. this course runs Wed-Fri)
1-3 November 2011
There will be no second course in November 2010
The Rural Ministry Course 13th-15th April 2010 is now fully-booked, and there is a substantial waiting-list in case of cancellations. We have started accepting preliminary bookings for the courses in 2011, but have not yet been able to set the prices for these courses (which may be in the region of £250). If you are interested in either of the courses in 2011, contact us at admin@arthurrankcentre.org.uk or on 024-7685-3060.

The National Rural Officer for the Church of England, working through the Arthur Rank Centre, also provides workshops three times a year for those in a multi-church ministry. The workshops deal with key issues particular to such situations, which may be of particular relevance to those in rural ministry.
